Welcome,

My name is Nicole and I have had a passion for dogs that dates back from when I owned my own dogs. After working for years in a job that gave me no satisfaction at all I decided it was time for change and the only career path I wanted to follow had to involve caring for dogs.

I decided before I took the leap into a career dog walking I would get a bit of training to help me gain more experience and insight into the canine world. I enrolled on an Animal Care Diploma course at the Mayhew Animal Home in Kensal Green, London. This course was both practical and theory based which is so much more beneficial as I actually spent time interacting with animals rather than just doing an online course where you get no 'hands on' experience.

The course gave me knowledge and understanding behaviour, exercise regimes, feeding, basic training skills and first aid, breeds, and safety aspects whilst transporting animals.

Since successfully completing the QCF Certificate in Animal Care in March 2010 I have set up my own dog walking business and now get daily fulfilment and job satisfaction being with my four legged friends :)

Anyone can become a dog walker. What makes me different from other dog walkers is I undertook a course in animal care so I could get a better understanding of working with dogs.
